  • FGU engineering plastic pipeline pump

    I. General introduction

    The FGU engineering plastic pipeline pump is vertical,single-stage,single-suction,centrifugal pump. All the parts of the pump, which are in connection of the pumped liquid, are made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), which has excellent corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance (The best of the plastic) and anti-impact property. This series of pump can transport clean liquid and the corrosive medium containing a small amount of solid particles. The main features of the pumps are:
    1.With the vertical integrated structure, the pump occupies very small space and needs a small foundation. If an outside-door type motor is equipped, this type of the pumps can be used outside-door without pump house. So the cost of construction can be saved.
    2.Simple for installation because the pump is installed on the piping just likes a valve.
    3.The pump is fixed on the motor shaft. There is no alignment problem for the pump. Operate smoothly with low noise and vibration level.
    His type of the pumps is suitable for chemical industry, metallurgical industry, chemical fiber industry, titanium dioxide industry, rare earth industry, insecticide industry, paper industry, light industry, water treatment, environment facilities and fire fighting. The allowable working temperature of the pump is within -50 ºC to 80 ºC. This temperature can be increase to 120 ºC if the impeller and casing re made of PVDF or F46.

    (II) Seal structure

    1. K type dynamic seal:

    This is a dynamic seal introduced from Ren yuan company in Japan. It is composed of expeller on the back of impeller and rubber seal rings. When the pump is in operation, the centrifugal force, which is created by the expeller, maintains a negative pressure in the stuffing box, so there is no any leakage. At same time, the lips of the rubber seals is not touching the sleeve, so there is no any erosion between the rubber seals and sleeve. When the pump is stopped, the pressure in the stuffing box becomes positive. It presses the lips of the rubber seals touching the sleeve closely, so the gap between the rubber seals and sleeve is sealed up. It’s mainly suitable for conveying clean liquid and slurry containing a small amount of solid particles, wastewater containing impurities and other corrosive medium.

    2. C1 type mechanical seal:

    This mechanical seal is WB2 type mechanical seal. It is a standard internal mechanical seal with multi-springs and Teflon bellow. Cooling water is not reqired. Its seal rings are made of engineering ceramic and Teflon. This type of seal has simple structure, good interchangeability and easy to install. It is suitable for pumping clean liquids and non-crystallizable liquids. It also can be used for pumping liquids containing hard particles if both the ceramic static seat and ceramic rotating ring are selected.
